David Kellett earned his B.A. in Music Education with an additional concentration in Speech / Theater / Dance from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University ) in Glassboro , New Jersey . He received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Rutgers University . He received additional training at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta , Canada . Since 1995, David has taught private voice at Princeton University in an adjunct/staff capacity. In January 2002 he made his stage directorial debut with the university’s production of the Magic Flute with conductor Richard Tang Yuck on the podium. They will collaborate again in 2005 with a Gilbert & Sullivan production. Most recently, David taught a vocal literature class entitled A Survey of Vocal Literature of the British Isles as the Music 214 – Vocal Performance Practice offering in the spring semester of 2004. This portion of David's web-site is devoted to resources for singers and teachers. The Links page contains a list of links to various resources on the web that I consistently use to support my career and to gather information for my students. The Resources page contains listings of books, videos and other resources. The Quote of the Day page will deliver a new quote with each refresh, providing words of wisdom from some of the great singers/teachers of past and present. The Charles Reading page is devoted to my former teacher and mentor ... a true "old school" teacher with ties to the last century's golden age singers.
